The great and powerful Darkseid had finally grew tired of being beat by the heroes of the earth using his awesome powers he changed the course of the asteroid known as 99942 Apophis sending it to earth much faster than it should have moved. Hoping the asteroid would destroy everyone on earth including the heroes. However his plan only partly worked unknown to him the government had a back up plan in the form of the Eden program it was designed to save a small group of normal people as well as heroes. Unknown to everyone the villains became apart of this program as well.

After Apophis hit the earth killing most people some survived and started new lives while those in the Eden program slept. A hundred years have passed before the people of Eden finally woke up and now they had to adjust to the post apocalyptic new world starting new lives or trying to bring back their old ones.
